SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

SUMMARY

We are currently looking for a highly creative Social Media Intern. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, the candidate has an interest in design, retail, and small business development and is looking to gain extensive hands-on experience in a variety of related disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of a project lead, the primary responsibilities will include the following:

Social Media Intern for Interior Design Firm and Retail Boutique

  • Work alongside the team to create a plan for social media strategies monthly

  • Assist in the growth of the brand by raising awareness through various social media platforms

  • Create posts and scheduling for social media to include writing content for captions

  • Monitor postings to ensure brand message is consistent from the terminology used to images posted

  • Aid in the promotion of businesses campaigns on daily or weekly basis (depending on the campaign)

  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns

  • Creation of weekly and monthly calendar to promote company brands, events, services, and promos on various social media platforms

  • Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the company's social pages

  • Track social media engagement and analytics to identify high-performing ideas, posts, and campaigns for scalability

  • Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, HOUZZ, and LinkedIn and for brand awareness, online presence, and relevancy

  • Oversee the creating and implementation of a monthly editorial which included monthly sales objectives and initiatives

  • Help create content as dictated by the monthly editorial calendar to promote sales, services, and product

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be actively enrolled and engaged in pursuit of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a field affiliated with Marketing and Social Media.

  • Must be punctual.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and, ideally, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.

  • Must be flexible and proactive in taking on assignments and responsibilities and have an overall willingness to learn.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Graphic Design skills a plus.

  • Must have high organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

  • Must be able to work 10-20 hours/week. Option to work some hours remotely and some hours in our office at:

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

This is an unpaid internship that can be used for college credit.
