THINGS TO CONSIDER IN MATURE HOMES AND BUILDINGS

IRREGULARITIES AND IMPERFECTIONS

Older homes may have inherent irregularities and imperfections due to site conditions, structural aging, and previous renovations. These irregularities can manifest in various ways, including but not limited to uneven surfaces, settling cracks, and variations in wall texture.

Consequently, the installation of paint, wallpaper, hard finishes, and other decorative elements may be impacted by these conditions. While we strive for excellent results in our work, it's essential to acknowledge that achieving flawless results in such environments may be challenging.

During the installation process, it's possible that certain imperfections in the underlying surfaces may become more apparent or affect the adherence and appearance of finishes. This could result in minor discrepancies or adjustments required to ensure the best possible outcome.

In our experience, a highly skilled professional can be vital in navigating these challenges to deliver the best result. Yet, it is important to set realistic expectations and understand that perfection is not always attainable in environments with pre-existing irregularities.

Open communication throughout the installation process, to address potential concerns that may arise, is something we deem essential.

THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT WALLPAPER

PATTERN REPEAT ALIGNMENT

Wallpaper patterns may have a repeat, and our team will make every effort to align the pattern seamlessly. However, due to wall dimensions, corners, and irregularities, achieving a perfect match at all points, especially at uneven corners, may be challenging.

COLOR VARIATION

Colors of the wallpaper may vary slightly from the samples due to different lighting conditions and manufacturing batches. We recommend examining the entire roll before installation to ensure consistency.

WALL SURFACE IMPACT

The final appearance of the wallpaper may be influenced by the texture and condition of the wall surface. Irregularities or imperfections may be more noticeable with certain patterns.

COMPLEX PATTERNS

Intricate or complex patterns may present difficulties in maintaining a seamless look, particularly around architectural features like windows and doors. All installations will be performed to industry standard and any variation in pattern will be matched as closely as possible for optimal aesthetics.

CUT DIRECTIONAL
IMPAIRMENT

When cutting wallpaper, a knife may encounter irregularities in the existing wall or around trim which can cause the blade to change direction unexpectedly. If there is any instance where this occurs, we will work to remedy or replace that area of wallpaper.

TRIM IRREGULARITY

Any defect in trim or excess caulk can lead to a space between trim and wallpaper. All cuts will be made cautiously to avoid any excessive gaps.
